Who can enter the awards?
The Antonian Awards program has been restructured to honor the exceptional professional achievements of event individuals and organizations located in or working an event in Bexar County or any of the surrounding, contiguous counties (Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, Wilson), or anyone who is a member of the local San Antonio ILEA Chapter representing all facets of the event.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF AN INDUSTRY ORGANIZATION TO SUBMIT AN AWARD.

Why should I enter the Antonian Awards?
By entering the Antonian Awards, you are able to demonstrate the caliber of work that you or your company creates. This is your opportunity to show others in the industry your talent and what makes your company stand apart from the competition. Imagine being able to tell your clients that you and your company are "award-winning!"

Do ILEA members have an unfair advantage over non-ILEA members when submitting?
No, all category entries and the supporting collateral are redacted of any identifying information (or disqualified from entry). Furthermore, judges are procured from ILEA chapters outside the Texas region to maintain complete anonymity. If by chance a judge were to recognize an event or an entrant, they are instructed to recuse themself from the judging process.

Are uncontested categories automatic winners?
No, even uncontested entrants must go through the complete judging process and score a minimum average cumulative score in order to be declared the winner of an uncontested category.

What is the cost of entering the awards and the deadlines?
The Antonian Awards cost $100.00 per entry for early bird submission until June 30, 2024, 11:59 p.m. CST. A standard entry fee of $125.00 will be accepted until July 14, 2024, 11:59 p.m. CST.

Last-chance submission opportunities are not guaranteed at this time.

Who judges the Antonian Awards?
In order to maintain an unbiased judging process, the Antonian Awards are entirely anonymous.  They are judged by event professionals with a broad range of experience and specialization.  Our judges are always selected from other ILEA chapters from other regions of the United States.

How do I enter?
The Antonian Awards are GREEN and only accepted through the website. The published guidelines will help you with the submission process.

Can I enter an event that took place in another city or state?
As long as your main/principal office is based in Bexar County or any of the surrounding, contiguous counties (Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, Wilson), you can enter events that you participated in as a working vendor from any other geographical area.

What are the most common reasons for disqualification?
The most common mistakes include not redacting all the identifying information such as logos, entrant names, and/or company names included in the entered content and on the submitted file names or in collateral materials. Incomplete budgets or those not including all elements/retail costs are also cause for disqualification. You will be judged based on the category you submit. Please make sure your budget matches the category you select. If you follow the rules and submission instruction guide and category-specific guidelines, your entry will be valid.

Where and when are the Antonian Awards presented and received?
The awards will recognize the outstanding accomplishments of event professionals and present the award winners at the Antonian Awards Celebration on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the McNary Art Museum.

Will my entry be returned?
All entries are the sole property of the Antonian Awards and will not be returned to any entrant. Please keep a copy for your files.
